April Vacation Camp 2022

April 21st - April 25th 9:00am-3:00pm

Kids (Ages 6-12) learn valuable life lessons of communication, boundary setting/respecting, and non-verbal, verbal & and physical self-defense techniques.

  • We play cooperative games which foster positive social skills and self-esteem through equal involvement for all.

  • Kids get to express themselves through the Indonesian martial art of Pukulan which encourages free movements of four animals: the monkey, snake, crane and tiger.

  • We explore the worlds of the four animals to learn about being grounded, playful, coordinated, fast, balanced, fluid, intense and creative.

  • Kids have free play time to build friendships and relax into an unstructured flow.

  • We do art projects based on various themes. Some themes may include: each animal and its unique quality, community, positive affirmations, peace, mind-body-spirit, etc.

  • Kids get outside weather permitting.

  • We work together to build a respectful and caring learning and playing environment. We have buddies each day and help each other with learning and becoming a part of the spirit of the heart community.

“My son loves coming here. The owner and teachers are so good with the kids. I would highly recommend.” - Amy B.

“Great teaching staff - really kid focused. They provide an excellent learning environment for students to grow personally as well as martially. It offers a safe training space for kids to learn about their bodies - how to be centered and aware, with the added bonus of learning self-defense. Thank you for all you offer.” - Marin G.

“What an amazing place for kids to grow in confidence, strength, and social skills! Wonderful for kids of all ages all the way up through the teen years. My son began when 9 and entered a mixed age group where he learned next to 5 and 12 year olds… he lacks confidence and social skills, and grew in both! He is now 13 and still attends regularly. The camps are great, and have range of abilities from kids with no experience to the advanced who mentor their peers. The same is true for the school vacation and after school programs. Its a great place to make friends, grow strong, and be surrounded by kind kids and adults who all have big hearts and are looking to support and nurture each other.” - S L.
